2015 Golden Globes Red Carpet

            The 2015 Golden Globes aired this last Sunday, January 11th, featuring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as the show’s hosts. The hilarious duo hinted that this was the last year of their three year hosting streak. Some of the big winners included Boyhood, Birdman, and The Theory of Everything. On the red carpet, I noticed a lot of silvers, whites, and blues. Sparkles were a HUGE trend this year! After scrolling through endless amounts of photos, I narrowed it down to eighteen looks (which was a lot harder than it sounds):

Hollywood Film Awards Red Carpet

This past Friday, the 2014 Hollywood Film Awards took place in Los Angeles, California. This year marks the first year for the show to be televised. Most of the awards are given to the recipients for movies that have not been in theaters yet, or for ones that are just being released. The mission of the Hollywood Film Awards is to begin the official launch of the award season.

A Legend Leaves Us

                One of the most fabulous designers to ever live, Oscar De La Renta, passed away last week at age 82. De La Renta was battling cancer for the past eight years. Many celebrities have taken to social media to celebrate his life’s work such as Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne.

Emmys 2014: Red Carpet

The Emmys combines my two favorite things: Award Shows and television. The big winners of the 2014 Emmy’s included Breaking Bad and Modern Family (again). Am I the only won disappointed with the lack of wins for “Girls,” “Orange Is the New Black,” and “House of Cards"? Maybe next year. 

99% of award shows have a RED carpet, and virtually everyone is aware of this. Surprisingly, there was a large amount of red worn on the carpet, and a few celebs sadly blended into the background. Check out my favorite fashion moments below and the rest of the looks here!

MTV's Video Music Awards 2014 Red Carpet

Another VMA’s Award Show has come and gone, along with some surprises made by the celebrities in attendance. There were some entertaining moments of the show this year, and almost all of the performances featured on the show consisted of women. (The only men to perform were Aussie boy banders 5 Seconds of Summer, Sam Smith, and Usher).  Miley Cyrus took over the VMA’s yet again, but this year, she didn’t even get up onstage. Winning the award for Video of the Year for “Wrecking Ball,” Cyrus had her award accepted by a homeless teen advocating for the charity “My Friend’s Place.” My Friend’s place is an “organization based in Los Angeles that helps homeless people from the ages of 12 to 25 find housing, jobs, health care and schooling” (NYTimes.com). Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet

The 2014 Teen Choice Awards were held this past Sunday at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. The show was hosted by Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey and Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland. Some big winners included the cast of “The Fault in Our Stars,” Taylor Swift, and One Direction. A big trend seen on the blue carpet included crop tops and braids.
