Best Dressed: Oscar's 2014

While watching the 2014 Oscars Red Carpet coverage, I found it hard to contain my excitement regarding the evening’s fashion. Although the majority of the awards show was nothing short of predictable (Jennifer Lawrence falls and everyone laughs at her “quirkiness,” Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t win an Oscar, again…and Ellen Degeneres was arguably the best Oscars host in history – I mean come on, she got Brad Pitt to serve pizza and orchestrated a selfie of the century that crashed twitter), I was thoroughly impressed with the large amount of dresses I was obsessed with. Usually, I fall in love with four or five looks on the red carpet. However, I had an extremely difficult time narrowing my best dressed look to fifteen outfits; ten females, and five males. A big trend of the night was pale shades of pink, nudes, and whites for women; the bow tie was a big hit among the men walking the carpet.  And did anyone notice that Pharrell wore shorts? Props to him for trying something different. Check out my best dressed list (in order) below:

1. Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Reem Acra
2. Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab
3. Kate Hudson in Atelier Versace
4. Lupita Nyong'o in Prada (she helped design this dress – how cool is that?)
5. Emma Watson in Vera Wang
6. Maria Menounos in Johanna Johnson
7. Sarah Paulson in Elie Saab
8. Amy Adams in Gucci
9. Ireland Baldwin in Burberry
10. Cate Blanchett in Giorgio Armani
1. Michael B. Jordan in Givenchy (THE SHOES!)
2. Jason Sudeikis in Prada
3. Jared Leto in Saint Laurent (his ombre is prettier than mine)
4. Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Calvin Klein
5. Kevin Spacey in Burberry
