Airport Articles

No matter what time of year it’s always nice to hop on an airplane and enjoy that much needed vacay. Get ready for takeoff in style. We’ve all seen the way celebrities dress at the airport so why not do the same?
The goal here is to be both fashionable and comfortable at the same time which is not always the easiest thing to do. Here are three airport looks that encompass both objectives.

The first look is classic comfort. The turtleneck sweater will keep you warm on the chilly flight along with baggy boyfriend jeans. The caramel colored loafers tie the outfit together and are very practical when going through security.
The second look is for the lazier girls going for complete comfort, perfect for a really early or long flight. The denim blouse is simple and has a relaxed feel paired with cotton leggings, you can’t go wrong. Lastly, chuck on a pair of timeless converse and you’re good to go.
The third look requires the most effort, but makes you appear very put together. However that is usually not the case when you find yourself without your boarding pass or running to make sure you don’t miss your flight!  With all airport troubles aside, this last outfit is a bit dressier altogether adding a bit of height to your stride.  The black v-neck is a staple that most girls should already have in their closet. Add a cozy salt and pepper speckled sweater for when the plane gets cold. Swap out your skinny jeans for elastic jeggings. That way your legs will not be restricted even more than they already will be in the tiny seats.  Finish off the look with black cut-out booties. The heel is definitely walkable and not too much of a pain to remove at the security check point.
As far as carry-ons go I would stick with a large purse or bag in a neutral or muted color. Make sure it’s big enough to hold all your essentials, but not oversized to the point where it’s too heavy to carry. Also, pick a bag or purse that can be a doop as a beach bag or everyday tote.
Here are a few fashion tips for the next time you’re traveling:
  1. Wear a large scarf because it can double as a blanket when you want to sleep on the plane.
  2. Wear flat shoes or short heels to spare your feet from the pain and hassle of high heels. Flat shoes are more practical and make your traveling experience more pleasant.
  3. Carry an extra pair of fuzzy socks in your carry-on then slip them on for the duration of your flight.
  4. Try to wear minimal jewelry. You will be less-likely to set off the metal detector and you can avoid losing any valuables.
  5. Avoid wearing a belt unless it is absolutely necessary. They are annoying to take off and easily set off the alarm.

If you’re jetting off soon, reference this post to help you pull together a foolproof airport look!  And of course enjoy that vacation wherever in the world you may be.
